Diary: 29.04.2015

In 2005, I went to my first job interview with no work experience but dreams. The boss asked me the usual question as how do I see myself in 10 years. I told him that I'd be working with the United Nations and nowhere else. He then accepted my answer and hired me right there and then.

This year, I am turning 6 with World Food Programme. I cannot express my thoughts into words but I just want to share that whenever I experience, witness, or even watch videos of WFP working on the ground, helping the most vulnerable people, I always remind myself that I must be one lucky lady who got herself hired by the best organization in the world. Others might argue but I get prouder and prouder everyday.

Extra Mile

Some will boast about how extravagant their work is. Some will tell you their fat pay checks. Some will show their freebies. While some will share their experiences how they've saved someone today. How they've served a stranger. Or how they've crossed the line just to help a family.

And that's not easy but someone had to do it today. You may choose to follow your dreams but your mission in this world is your detiny.
